Job Announcement
The Graduate Program in Translation and Interpretation (GPTI) at National Taiwan University announces one adjunct position in Chinese-English Interpreting and Translation. Initial appointment period will begin on August 1, 2024. Application deadline is March 25, 2024.
General Requirements:
- PhD. preferred but candidates possessing a Master’s degree in related fields and professional experience may be considered.
- Specialties sought:
- Translation: a variety of specializations, especially in Film translation, subtitling,etc.
- (Track 1) Instructor or above: require at least one academic book (including MA or PhD thesis) or two academic papers, all of which must be published after August 2019
- (Track 2) Specialist: require a minimum of 6 years of translation experience
Salary and Rank:
Adjunct faculty members are paid by the hour at 795NTD for Assistant Professors and 725NTD for Lecturers; subject to 18% income tax for those who hold a foreign passport and reside in Taiwan less than 183 days in a calendar year.

- Proof of relevant professional experience
- List of two references
- (Track 1) Three hard copies of each academic publication listed in the application form
- (Track 2) Two hard copies of each translation/publication sample
